Bishop Martin To Be Our New Priest
it is wonderful to share the good news that Bishop Martin Warner has been called to serve the parish of St Peter, Folkestone.
The following announcement was made this morning:
The Bishop of Dover is pleased to announce that The Right Reverend Martin Warner, currently Bishop of Chichester, has been appointed as Priest in Charge of St Peter’s, Folkestone in the Elham deanery, for two years. The licensing date will be 7th July 2026.
Bishop Martin responded:
“It will be a privilege to serve for the next two years as the parish priest at St Peter’s, Folkestone. This parish, together with its school, stands in a tradition of sacramental and pastoral ministry that I have seen exemplified by so many clergy in recent years. Their wide-ranging examples of service will be an inspiration to me in learning how to respond, by God’s grace, imaginatively and compellingly to the profound spiritual longing that is evident in this present time.”

St Peter, pray for us.
